Isn't this the best time of year? Seriously, I absolutely love Christmas time. However, I've been slacking quite a bit since being sick from this pregnancy! I'm used to making yummy treats, getting neighbor and friend gifts out, and shopping up until the last day. None of that has happened this year! I've been spending my free time resting up for this little babe in my belly. SO fun to think that next year we'll be sharing this excitement with a new addition! :)
As a kid my family has created so many fun tradition and it's so fun to now carry them on with Brooklynn and a new babe next year. Unfortunately, it isn't our year to have her on Christmas but we will be celebrating Christmas with her on New Years which is just as great but next year she will get to spend her first Christmas with a new baby brother/sister! I don't think she quite understands what's going on with becoming a sister but she is constantly talking about the baby in my belly, one day its a boy and the next it's a girl.. It's different everytime you ask her what she wants it to be. I asked her the other night why we couldn't open presents yet, cause of course she sits and eyeballs them the entire time she's at our house, she said "tause santa isn't here yet" :)
Mine and Joey's Christmas this year consists of being up in Tremonton at my parents for the entire weekend!! There is no better place to be than at my parents house over the holidays!! My mom has the house decked out in Christmas decor, always smelling like a yummy candle, and food galore, what more could a pregnant girl ask for? :-) We eat, play games, visit with family, and eat a little more!!
I am so thankful for my amazing family who I get to share these fun holidays with! I can honestly say I have the best family in the world!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Note to self - Hopefully over the holidays I can catch up on some posts. Disney on Ice, Jason Aldean, family Christmas Parties, and Denver!
