Update..

Life is great in the Black household.. Joey went to Vegas over the weekend for our friend LJ and Brenna's wedding, he said it was beautiful and had a great time on his little guys weekend while I enjoyed being at home getting the nursery/Brooklynn's room all set up! My parents and Lacy and Jake came down and helped A TON, we painted, assembled the crib, changing table, and Brooklynn's new bed! It was quite a bit of work but everything turned out so great. I'm just waiting on a few decor items then I will post pictures so you can see how great it turned out! I'm seriously thrilled about how well it is coming together. For those of you don't know we only have two bedrooms upstairs so we are having Brooklynn and the baby share for a few years until we feel comfortable having her sleep downstairs. We made the room very neutral with gray walls and white woodwork, and blue, green, and orange bedding! It is by far the funnest room in our house now.
Brooklynn is working on her potty training, it's slowly coming along, but she is doing a great job!!
She also is very curious about this baby and I think she thinks we are making it all up because we talk about him so much and he still isn't here yet. And I thought 9 months was a long time for me, little Brooklynn is starting to ask when the baby is coming out.. lol. The other day I picked her up from school and I was telling her on our drive home that we finally put her new bed together and that it's right next to the baby's crib and in all seriousness she looked at me and said "Ohhhhh, so the baby finally comed out?" haha I guess she thinks because his bed is put together that it means he's here?! So sweet!!
She slept so good the first night in her new twin bed that when I went to wake her up for school she was upside down in it! Still covered in all of her blankets, her head was just down at the bottom of the bed. (I can't say that I never woke up in that position!)
Brooklynn is a growing girl and comes up with new things to say and ask about everyday! She seriously brings so much joy into our house when we get her! She's still into reading books, we read at least 20 books a day with her and she NEVER gets sick of it. She loves watching her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, that's the first thing she asks to do every day! She now answers to everything Mickey asks, it is quite cute!!
Life honestly couldn't be better these days, we are so looking forward for this baby to be here and to start enjoying the summer!
